When trying to eat well, salads are always a solid go-to dish but having a few lettuce leaves can be less-than-filling. That’s exactly why a bean salad with whole grains is the perfect satisfying summer lunch.
Not only is it hearty but also it’s also full of antioxidants, and vitamins that are kind to sensitive skin. The bell peppers, olive oil, tomato and avocado collectively fill this dish with vitamin E, healthy fats, and lycopene, which can help eliminate skin-aging free radicals.
Finally, a cup of faro – a delicious whole grain that’s popular in Italy and available in most large supermarkets — adds a boost of whole grains and fiber that can help take down inflammation in the body and skin. Grab these ingredients during your next grocery store trip and your skin will be sure to thank you later!
