How To Feel Wide Awake in the Morning

With two little kids at home mornings are a bit of an adventure these days and I need to feel instantly awake, alert and refreshed.

However, I don’t always have time for myself in the morning. Fortunately, you don’t need a lot of time to feel and look refreshed with these easy tips!

The Night Before: Take every single bit of makeup off your face before you go to sleep. No excuses! If you’re feeling too lazy to walk the three steps to the bathroom to wash your face, keep Simple Skincare Eye Makeup Remover Pads and Cleansing Facial Wipes in your bedside table.

Work While You Rest: Choose products that provide maximum benefits while you sleep. To hydrate your skin, apply a moisturizer that works all night long (try Simple Skincare Nourishing 24-Hour Day/Night Cream; I love the texture and find it works for all seasons). Rub just the tiniest amount of oil into the ends of your hair for some deep conditioning action. Lastly, massage cuticle oil into your nail beds, and get ready to wake up dewy, glowing and moisturized from head to toe.

Hydrate: Speaking of moisture, one more way to guarantee that you’ll wake up looking your best is to hydrate. A pretty carafe set next to your bed can help inspire you to drink an extra couple of glasses of water before you fall asleep.
